WARREN — Ms. Bouncil Marie Brogdon, affectionately known as “Bonnie,” 70, of Deerfield Street SW, Warren, departed this life at 10:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital, after a brief illness, with her loving family by her side.
Bonnie was born Nov. 15, 1951, in Warren, the daughter of John T. Brogdon and Lillian Stubbs Brogdon.
She was employed at General Motors Corp. as an assembler for 30-plus years, retiring on Oct. 1, 2003.
She was a member of East Side Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and spending time with her loving daughter and grandkids.
She leaves to mourn a daughter, Tonia Ellison of Warren; three grandchildren, Tatyanna Ellison, Traniece Ellison and Marianna Ervin; and one grandson, Terrel Ellison, all of Warren. She also leaves to mourn three great-grandkids, Legend Joe, Vincent Richardson and Layla Richardson. She also leaves her siblings, two sisters, Ms. Denise Williamson of Warren, and Charmaine Brogdon of Akron; two brothers, Sheldon (Rose) Brogdon and Jermaine Brogdon of Warren; and a special uncle, Mr. James Lee (Helen) Stubbs of Blackstone, Va.; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John T. Brogdon Jr., James Lee Brogdon and Dale Stubbs; and three sisters, Ms. Rose Mary Brogdon, Ms. Jeanette “Pumkin” Freeman and Ms. Carol “KK” Brogdon.
A funeral service will take place at noon Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at Third Christian Church, with Pastor Mario Hainesworth as celebrant. Family will receive friends 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at the church.
