As we have reported on, while Omicron worsens in France, more travel restrictions have been put into place in which Disneyland Paris must follow, which is restricting travel for leisure purposes. The Disneyland Paris website notes:
Following the latest announcements from the French government, beginning Saturday 18 December, regardless of vaccination status, those wishing to travel to France from the UK will need to meet criteria outlined by the French authorities that the travel is essential. Currently leisure travel does not meet such criteria. To see the full list of what constitutes essential travel, exemptions, testing, quarantine and other travel requirements we invite you to refer to official sources for travel requirements.

With these changes in tow, and the Government implementing new travel restrictions due to the rise of COVID-19, there have even been rumblings that Disneyland Paris would be shutting down again. That being said, Disney has not confirmed or hinted at this speculative thought.
Now, Disney has come up with a new marketing scheme to get more Guests visiting the Resort in January! DLP Report (@DLPReport) took to Twitter to post Disneyland Paris’s new TV ad, which shows a couple ending New Year’s Eve early so that they can jump to January and enjoy the “low prices” the Resort is offering.
A new Disneyland Paris TV ad in French has been released, called “in a hurry”. The plot involves a couple celebrating New Years at 10pm and kicking their friends out because they’re so eager to enjoy the Resort’s magic and low prices in January

This is an interesting marketing tool, as the Resort is clearly pushing for 2022 travel amid all of the travel restrictions, and pulling the spotlight and pressure off of their New Year’s Eve party cancelation.
In January, Guests can also expect to see a lot of attractions close for a refurbishment, which is something to note if you do plan to make a last-minute Disneyland Paris trip!

More on Disneyland Paris
At Disneyland Paris, lots of changes are coming to Walt Disney Studios and their Disneyland Park, with the 30th anniversary just months away. Walt Disney Studios is adding a massive addition that will include Star Wars, Marvel, and Frozen, as well as their very own Avengers Campus, which will be the first section to open in the Park. One of the biggest changes that we have seen is on Sleeping Beauty Castle, which was covered by a box facade for months. Recently, Disney began to uncover the castle to reveal a stunning, magical masterpiece.
