If you’ve been waiting until “Wave Season” to book your next cruise, Holland America Line just may have the type of offer you’ve been hoping to find.
Wave Season is here in time for the holidays with great cruise travel values for the coming year, and Holland America Line is celebrating with “The Ultimate Upgrade Event,” the cruise line explains.
The sales event, which has already begun and runs through February 28, 2022, allows guests who book a select cruise from summer 2022 through spring 2023 to upgrade their stateroom for free. It also offers guests 50 percent reduced deposits and a number of other free perks for those who book a “Have It All” premium package.
What’s more, if you book a cruise before January 20, you’ll also be eligible to receive up to $200 in onboard credit per stateroom.
“By introducing our most enticing offer for the traditional “wave” booking period, we want to encourage everyone to think about next year’s vacation plans now and book early,” Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America Line, said. “Cruising already is an unbeatable value, and when you add in our limited-time Ultimate Upgrade Event, there is no better time than now to plan cruise vacations to destinations around the world.”
The Deal’s Perks
The Ultimate Upgrade Event includes cruises to the U.S. Pacific Coast, including Alaska, as well as Canada and New England, the Caribbean, Mexico, Panama Canal, Northern Europe, Mediterranean, Hawaii, South Pacific, South America, and Antarctica, and Australia and New Zealand.
Here’s a look at some of the deal’s perks.
First of all, guests can take advantage of a free room upgrade during booking. So, for example, you can book an ocean view stateroom for the price of an interior, or book a verandah for the price of an ocean view stateroom.
As was noted above, depending on the length of the cruise, guests may receive up to $200 in onboard credit per stateroom. That credit may be used for amenities such as specialty dining and spa services.
Guests booking a Have It All fare will also receive credit for up to three shore excursions. Those tours are valued at approximately $100 each.
Those booking a Have It All package can also take advantage of the “Signature Beverage Package,” offering up to 15 drinks per day. They can also partake in the “Specialty Dining” package, which includes dining options for up to 3 nights.
Finally, Holland America Line is about to celebrate its 75th anniversary of sailing to Alaska. As part of next year’s celebration, kids ages 17 and under who are traveling as the 3rd and 4th guests in a stateroom can sail on select Alaska cruises for as low as $75. The cruise line explains that this “makes a family adventure more affordable.”
Know Before You Book
Fares for The Ultimate Upgrade Event start at $799 per person, double occupancy, for Caribbean cruises. They start at $849 for Alaska departures. As you would expect, taxes, fees, and port expenses are additional.
It should also be noted that the opportunity to upgrade is based on stateroom availability.
