LeBron James has turned back the clock this past week, piling up numbers like he’s still in his prime. The Los Angeles Lakers star caped off a torrid four-game stretch with a 39-point performance on Christmas Day against the Brooklyn Nets.
The effort marked the fourth such 30-point game in a row for King James, the first time he’s racked up four consecutive such outings in nearly four years.
LeBron 31 points and 14 rebounds against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night. The Lakers star followed that up with 34 points against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, then went even higher with 36 two days later against the San Antonio Spurs. His 39 points were a season-high in any non-overtime games this season.

However, the impressive output of late hasn’t exactly resulted in on-court success for the Lakers. LeBron James has looked dominant this past week, but it’s come with a miserable 0-4 record in that span. That knocks him down to a mediocre 6-6 in contests which he’s dropped 30, the worst record for a player with at least 10 such games, via StatMuse.

The poor run of team play has also come directly as Anthony Davis succumbed to yet another injury. He got hurt during their December 18th loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Lakers haven’t won a game since.
