Police in Sandy arrested a man who is accused of fatally shooting his wife during a domestic dispute Friday night.
According to investigators, the man called 911 around 9:00 p.m. and told dispatchers he had just shot his wife.
Police arrived at the home near 500 East Montana Drive and found that the woman was dead. The male suspect was taken into custody without incident, according to Lt. Dean Carriger with Sandy Police.
Officials said the man and woman were married and in their 50s.
Police said they are working to notify family members about what happened and further updates would likely come on Saturday.
