No injuries were reported after a semi tractor-trailer hauling more than 40,000 pounds of alcohol overturned early Tuesday.
Kennedy and Falconer volunteer firefighters responded to the rollover, which reported around 4:30 a.m. at the corner of Quaint and Clay Pond roads in the town of Poland. The semi was reported to be carrying alcohol in various forms from a local brewery when it overturned onto its driver’s side.
Weather was believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
County HAZMAT crews were requested due to a diesel fuel spill.
The area was closed to traffic for several hours as the truck’s contents were unloaded to another truck.
